The state doesn't require blood tests or witnesses, and you don't have to be a Colorado resident to get married in the state. The state requires couples to apply for a marriage license in person at the County Clerk's office and both parties must bring valid identification.
How long does it take to get a marriage license in Colorado?
A license to marry in Colorado may be obtained during regular business hours at any of our Clerk & Recorder locations, in accordance with the requirements outlined below. The license is valid upon issue and must be used, in Colorado, within 35 days. The fee is $30.00, cash or debit/credit card payment only.
