Can you get your marriage license in a different state?
Most states require you to apply for your marriage license at the town or county clerk's office where the ceremony will be taking place. Your state of choice may not have any waiting period, in which case you can apply for your out of state marriage license and get married in the same day!
Can you get married in a state you don’t live in?
State Residency: You don't need to be a resident of California to receive a marriage license. Age Requirement: Both parties must be at or over the age of 18 to be married without parental consent. You will receive the license the same day you submit the application.
Do states share Marriage Records?
