How easy is it to pass Step 3?
Step 3 is by far the easiest Step exam. You seem to be doing the right prep, just stick with it and relax. I had very similar percentage and passed comfortably—don’t worry you’re on the right track! Was nervous about this too as I’m also in peds!
How long did you study for Step 3?
As I mentioned before, I think at least 3-4 weeks of dedicated studying for the exam would be an intelligent approach, on average. And because this will be during intern year, this means studying in addition to work. If during an outpatient or easier rotation, this will be less burdensome.
Do you need step 3 for fellowship?
All interested applicants must apply for the Fellowship Program through ERAS. Fellows must apply for a full license which requires successful completion of USMLE Step 3. No fellows can be appointed without successful completion of USMLE Step 3 prior to the appointment date.

Does Step 3 matter for cardiology fellowship?
RestoreSight. No step 3 is not that important for fellowship. Its more important who is recommending you and from what program. Programs do ask about OKAPS and your letters will make a big difference in how you are ranked.
Do STEP scores matter for fellowship?
In general, USMLE scores matter more for residency not fellowship match. Your performance during residency with other criteria including research, LORs… play more important role in the decision when picking up fellows.
