What happens when a married couple who owns a property as tenants by the entirety divorce?
In a divorce, tenancy-by-the-entirety status is automatically severed, and the property is deemed to be owned by tenants in common. Any judgments against one spouse go against that spouse’s interest in the home.

The agent doesnt have to give you the keys until the first day of the lease, although they often will give them to you the night before so you can start moving early.

Do I get my bond back if I break lease?
A tenant must pay the rent up to and including the day their termination notice period ends and they vacate the property. If a tenant does not owe the landlord money at the end of their tenancy and there is no damage to the property, the bond paid at the beginning of the tenancy should be refunded in full.

Can a landlord keep my bond?
Your landlord must give you back your bond by 7 business days after your lease ends. If they want to keep some or all of your bond they must tell you by 7 business days after your lease ends. If you don’t agree about how much bond you should get back, get legal advice from a lawyer.
