Farkas has a much better attitude, doesn’t babble on at the ceremony and is just generally less annoying. Also the whole “big tough warrior with the deep love” thing is awesome. But he’s weak and talks a lot about bashing things. Vilkas is more romantic, intelligent and far stronger.

You can get Serana cured, but it’s a pain in the butt for almost no reward (She keeps many of her vampiric powers like the drain spell and vampire seduction). You have to talk to her a certain way during the quests. If you don’t, you can’t get her to cure herself.
Can you cure serana if you sided with the Dawnguard?
If you side with the Dawnguard, you can convince Serana to cure her vampirism after her father’s death. Once you have defeated Harkon and left Volkihar Cathedral, if you are not a vampire yourself †, you can ask Serana if she’s ever considered being cured.

If you pick more tactful dialogue options, you can convince her to go see Falion. She will immediately leave, even if she is currently following you, saying that she needs to do this alone. Within a few days, she should show up at Fort Dawnguard as a normal human.”
How long does it take for serana to come back?
I forgot to mention that when she is off to Morthal to get her cure from Falion, you need to wait 3 days game for her to come back to Dawnguard Fort. She will show up, just sit tight and you will see her sitting in the main lobby waiting for you.

She can’t *decide* to be human, roflcopter. Sorry, no offense meant. However, you CAN turn her into a human but I have no clue whether or not she can be a vampire again if she has been cured. She absolutely cannot be turned again.
Does serana stay your follower?
You can have Serana continue to follow you once the quest line is over, and you will have 2 followers. You can even dismiss the second follower and pick up another instead while Serana continues to follow. Just never dismiss Serana and you can do this.
