Should I use Kontrol Freeks on both sticks?
It’s all a matter of preference. I had short FPS Freeks on my 360 controller that I used on both sticks. Now I have one of the taller Freeks on my One controller (not sure which, similar to the FPS) and it feels different and takes some getting used to.
How do you aim with Thumbsticks?
Aim with the right thumbstick, fine tune with the left. You want to STRAFE the crosshair ideally into headshots. Don’t just aim with the right stick. You have to use both at the same time.
How do I aim better on my controller?
Some things that will help:
- Play with the settings. You can do this in-game or in the console settings (at least true for a pro controller).
- On a console you aim with both sticks, yes both. You MOVE to aim.
- Play a game with a lot of action.
- Understand aim assist and bullet magnetism (they are not the same).

For defensive players, like rifle or sniper players, we recommend a short concave thumbstick on the left and a tall domed thumbstick on the right. You can still move quickly, but also be the most accurate when aiming.
Which is better Dome or concave?
The dome sticks keep a consistent grip on the stick needed for small pushes and tiny adjustments. However, the concave sticks are for movement because you are always pushing the stick to the max level, never needing to be incredibly precise.
Is convex or concave better?
Concave is better if you press and drag the analog sticks to move them. Convex is better if you push the analog sticks with your thumb to move them.
Do Kontrol Freeks fit domed sticks?
Unfortunately, none of our thumbsticks are compatible with Scuf domed yet. Our PS4 thumbsticks do fit their concave though.
Can you put control freaks on a SCUF?
We do not recommend the use of 3rd party accessories with our thumbsticks as we cannot guarantee compatibility or that they will not damage SCUF thumbsticks. KontrolFreek however states on their website that Standard Xbox One thumbsticks are compatible with some of their accessories.
Will PS4 controllers work on PS5?
You can still use a PS4 DualShock on your PS5, but only to play backwards compatible PS4 games. You can’t use it to play PS5 games directly on the console. However, you can use a DualShock controller to remotely play PS5 games on your phone, tablet, PC, or Mac through the Remote Play app.

Sony’s next-gen PlayStation 5 DualSense controller has a ton of mechanical upgrades over the DualShock 4, but will still suffer the same drift issues as its forebear. According to YouTube channel Tronix Fix, the DualSense uses the same analog sticks as the DualShock 4.
