What is the new Idaho repository?
Welcome to the iCourt Project Information Site! Idaho has transitioned statewide to the new iCourt system where citizens can search for court records, make payments, or get county contact information. This website will provide updated information and resources throughout the life of the project.
Is a withheld Judgement a conviction?
A withheld judgment is a type of sentence the judge can impose for a criminal conviction. You have to serve a time of probation and may have other conditions, but if you fulfill them, the judgment is not entered on your record.
What does retained jurisdiction mean?
Retained jurisdiction or “riders” are residents who the court has retained jurisdiction over sentenced to a period of incarceration in an IDOC facility. The IDOC assesses riders to determine their needs and places them in the appropriate facilities to receive intensive programming and education.
What is the rider program?
It is designed for low-risk offenders to get treatment. If successful in the program, they are put on probation rather than finishing their sentence in prison. Offenders sentenced to rider treatment programs are more likely to re-offend in three years than inmates sentenced to prison or directly placed on probation.
What is Idaho Department of Corrections?
The Idaho Department of Correction is responsible for managing felony offenders housed in prisons and supervised on probation and parole. IDOC houses inmates in ten prisons, four community reentry centers. The state also uses county jail beds and an out of state facility to house inmates.
